 Our aim is to encourage young people from 8 years of age and over to come along and learn to play the game of Bowls. We have two Scottish Bowling Association qualified coaches who will hold  regular coaching sessions on Saturday mornings between 10 a.m. and mid-day starting on Saturday 6th May, parents welcome. We will provide the necessary equipment , all you have to do is to turn up with a pair of flat soled plimsolls or gym shoes. Parents are welcome to come along and participate or otherwise. We also make our facilities available to the school bowls coaching program and have started a youth section which has free membership. The club coaches have fulfilled the necessary clearance requirements for teaching children and vulnerable adults with the assistance of the East Lothian Community Development Program.

Facilities of the Club The club has a Bowling Green and Pavilion, with Ladies and Gents  teams competing in East Lothian District Leagues, as well as Senior and Junior Leagues. The club also has a Function Hall that seats up to 110 people, a spacious Lounge Bar,  a large pool room,  Darts & Domino's, and is open 7 days a week. Carpet Bowls are played in the Function Hall on some week-day evenings during the winter months. The club has facilities and access for disabled members and visitors.    

There will be a "hat" game, on Wednesday evenings, members are requested    to be at the club by 6-30pm for game to start at  6-45.Visitors welcome.

The Bowling & Social Club Opening Hours 

Bowling Green is open 7 days a week from 11am till dark. - Apr 10th - Oct 2nd
The Social Club licensing  hours are as follows :-

Sunday:      12am - 12pm
Mon - Wed   7pm - 11pm
Thurs           7pm - 12pm
Fri               7pm  -  1am
Sat             11am - 12pm

 

 

 

Coming Events  The Bowling Green opened on Saturday the 12th of April, the First Jack was delivered by Mr Bill Slight.

News Update * 

The Club Annual General Meeting  took place on Sunday 16th March 2008, The existing Committee were re-elected "Status Quo" for a further year. All members should be aware that Fees are now due. Members who have not paid their fees by 14 days after the date of the A.G.M. will cease to be members and lose any seniority on renewing them.
